Fueling the

green transition

Umwelt Energy is a global developer of green fuels, bridging technology innovations and energy systems to carve a path toward sustainability.

Who we are

We accelerate the development of green fuels by providing unparalleled speed, scalable technology, and industry expertise.

At Umwelt Energy, we understand that the path to net zero is not always straightforward. That is why we are committed to building a sustainable ecosystem around green fuel production, bringing together innovations and expertise to accelerate development and abate over 2 Mt of CO2 annually by 2030.

"Umwelt Energy is a boutique Green Fuel Developer. We are very focused on our mission and we carefully select our projects. We build very close and trusted relationships with our investors, suppliers and partners."
"The technologies to fight climate change and achieve decarbonization are already here. But to realize these projects requires technology integration, close collaboration, and trusted partnerships. This is what we build in Umwelt Energy, leveraging our strong experience across the value chain."

Our approach

Accelerating progress, cutting emissions

//

Powered by purpose

At Umwelt Energy, we believe that big challenges call for big solutions. We must act now, and it is the responsibility of those who understand the industry to lead the charge, which is why we’re committed to bridging the knowledge gaps between key players.

//

Collaborative partnerships

Our world is in a transition: from fossil fuels to green energy, and from individual choices to a connected effort. To accelerate the production of green fuels, we work with developers, technology providers, and governments to align interests and scale production.

//

Responsible development

In transforming solar and wind into green fuels, we are mindful of the communities we enter. We stay conscious of the local water and grid constraints, and capture CO2 from local industries.

//

Agile, scalable production

Umwelt Energy and our technology partners fuel innovation by building large-scale, integrated renewable power generation projects, electrolysis plants for green hydrogen, and eFuel synthesis plants for methanol, ammonia and kerosine.

Selected projects in development

Waste CO2 from biogas plants across southern Spain will be the biogenic CO2 source for a 100,000 tons of green eMethanol.

Spain, 2027

A 1 GW electrolyser power the production of 500,000 tons of green eMethanol, saving more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Spain, 2028

Otherwise grid-locked energy projects will be used to produce 500,000 tons of eMethanol and transform the US’s shipping industry.

California, 2028

Located in the growing renewable energy industry in India, this project helps provide eMethanol to the heavy-duty transport sector.

India, 2028

To reach carbon neutrality for the most challenged industries, Umwelt Energy connects tech innovations with industry knowledge to carve a path toward sustainability.
